STARWOOD HOTELS & RESORTS TO REPOSITION FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON TUCSON UNIVERSITY PLAZA AS ALOFT HOTEL

150-Room Property Featuring Sleek Look and Tech-Savvy Offerings
to Open in Early 2013

TUCSON, Ariz. (April 25, 2012) -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that it has begun a conversion of the Four Points By Sheraton Tucson University Plaza, with plans to re-introduce the property as part of its rapidly growing, three-year-old Aloft brand in early 2013.

The Aloft Tucson University will offer a modern and industrial-influenced design with free-flowing space that plays to both its strategic location and its core collegiate and business audiences. Bringing "Style at a Steal" to the next generation of traveler, the hotel will feature an urban aesthetic and vibrant palette within a technologically progressive environment.

Signature brand elements will include complimentary, hotel-wide, high-speed Internet access; touch & go self-service kiosks; the electric wxyz bar, presenting today's music trends and performers, along with live and virtual DJs; the sleek re:mix lounge, an active social space for work and play; the 24-hour re:fuel, providing an extensive menu of snacks, salads and sandwiches, along with a variety of organic offerings; the splash outdoor pool and the 24-hour re:charge gym.

"The Aloft Tucson University will bring a contemporary look and savvy vibe to the local hotel scene," said General Manager Craig Martin. "Guests will enjoy the flexibility and freedom our services and amenities provide in creating an expressive, personalized experience. As a repositioned property, it is also a testament to the brand's commitment to sustainability and sound environmental practices."
