Janos and J BAR at Westin La Paloma Resort to Close in May
TUCSON, Ariz. (April 26, 2012) - Tucson's signature luxury resort and spa, The Westin La Paloma Resort, and James Beard award winning chef Janos Wilder announce the closure of Janos and J BAR restaurants in May. After 15 years of hosting locals and visitors from around the globe on property at The Westin La Paloma Resort, the renowned dining and entertainment venues will serve their final meals on Saturday, May 26, 2012.The iconic Westin La Paloma Resort has recently transitioned to new ownership, Southwest Value Partners (SWVP), and is in the midst of planning a large-scale property rejuvenation. SWVP plans to use the space occupied by Janos and J BAR to offer a new restaurant concept inspired by its dramatic views, local flavors, and creatively fun libations. Details on these developments will be forthcoming.

Janos and Rebecca Wilder opened Janos Restaurant on the grounds of the Tucson Museum of Art in 1983. In 1998 the Wilders relocated the restaurant to the grounds of The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa and in 1999 opened J BAR, a casual Latin grill.
