It's Always Tee Time in Tucson
Imagine teeing off in the shadows of five mountain ranges cradling desert “target” courses designed to have minimum impact on the environment, challenging as well as scenic. Imagine a place where the sun shines over 300 days a year and the average winter temperature is 70F.
Golf just doesn’t get any better than in Tucson, where golfers have a dizzying array of courses to choose from -- award-winning public links and world?class destination resorts created by Robert Cupp and Craig Stadler, Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Some of the city’s courses are rated among the top 75 resort courses by Golf Digest magazine and ranked in the top 10 of international golf resorts by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Even Actor Kevin Costner knows Tucson golf. He filmed Tin Cup here.
Great golf values can be found in Tucson in the summer time when resort and municipal courses offer special “beat the heat” promotions. Some resort courses offer greens fees at half off the high season rate. Great deals can be found at www.visitTucson.org. A list of all of Tucson’s courses can be found in the “golf” section of the website, too.
