Meeting planners can fly out here on us and get a customized tour. We also offer a $10,000 meeting bonus if you book your meeting or convention at the Tucson Convention Center and the Radisson City Center hotel.

Tucson Film Office News - The ABC network is planning to show Stephen King's Desperation mini-series during the November ratings ‘sweeps'. Desperation was shot entirely in southern Arizona. Most exterior work was done in the real-life mining town of Bisbee, and indoor scenes were shot on soundstages built inside the Tucson Convention Center. Stephen King praises the directorial work of Mick Garris by calling the film ‘extraordinary' and says Ron Perlman as Collie Entragian will ‘haunt your dreams'. Writers interested in covering Bisbee and Tucson as travel destinations for November publications can contact Barbara MacDonald for assistance.

Planning Ahead... Tucson's prime tourism season is late January through early May. Signature events held during that time include the world's largest Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show (52nd annual in '06), the PGA Chrysler Classic of Tucson, and La Fiesta de los Vaqueros - also called the Tucson Rodeo (81st annual in '06).
