Tucson's Hot Summer Flamenco Show
Tucson, AZ - Casa Vicente is proud to present Flamenco del Pueblo Viejo artists Jason and Melani "Mele" Martinez along with special guest artist, Angelina Ramirez. Sharing the stage with these dancers and singers are accomplished flamenco guitarists Jon Banuelos of Los Angeles, CA and Misael Barraza of Hermosillo, Mexico.
"This will be a very exciting show in an intimate setting. We really want to turn up the heat this summer with some outstanding flamenco performers at Casa Vicente," says the restaurant's co-owner and operator Marita Sanchez-Gomez.
Though Casa Vicente presents flamenco shows weekly with local flamenco dancers and musicians, this special event will bring together professional dancers, and former members of the American Flamenco Repertory Co. Special guest, Angelina Ramirez is originally from Tucson and has traveled the country with famed flamenco companies including Yjastros, Calo Flamenco, Mosaico Flamenco, and Flamenco y Mas. She is an accomplished artist and according to her audiences, truly has a magnetic presence.
Sanchez-Gomez says, "Summertime usually gets sluggish here in Tucson, but Casa Vicente will be energized with these fiery dancers - not to mention the great sangria and tapas!"
