32nd Tucson Pride on Parade and Pride in the Desert
Tucson Pride Inc. in association with Bud Light presents Pride on Parade October 9th on 4th Avenue and Pride in the Desert October 10th at Reid Park. Pride on Parade and Pride in the Desert is Southern Arizona‘s largest gathering of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender community and is now celebrating its 32nd year.
Pride on Parade will kick off the festivities with a Parade on 4th Avenue. The Parade will begin at 6:00pm on Friday October 9th and will commence near the corner of 4th avenue and 2nd street. The Parade will proceed south and turn left onto 7th street ending at the Eon Youth Lounge where we will have our free block party. Our entertainment line-up includes Emcee Bunny Fufu, Marc Pedraza, and God-des & She along with many talented local entertainers. This year‘s Grand Marshals are award-winning comedian and LGBT advocate Margaret Cho & Tucson's very own LGBT Chorus, Desert Voices.
Pride in the Desert will take place from 10am -8pm on October 10th at Reid Park around the DeMeester Outdoor Auditorium. This year‘s main stage headliners include: Jonny McGovern & Team Pimp, Ari Gold, Adam Joseph, and God-des and She.
Main Stage headliners include: Courtney Robbins, Namoli Brennet, Achy Birds, Dragstar Cabaret, Angie Evans, Sabra Faulk, Patti Larkin, Too Much Information, and Dat Gurl Famous.
Our CoffeeStage will be expanded with more seating and relocated to a "cooler" part of the park. CoffeeStage headliners include: Curt Beall, Janet Bond, Candice Aragon, Leila Lopez, Koyote Kingz, Lisa Otey, Diane Van Deurzen, Reveille, Jessika Murphy, Arthur Migliazza, Chris Jacobs, and Amber Norgaard.
We have made many changes to the festival grounds including the addition of a disabled/elderly shaded area in front of the stage that will include cooling fans and comfortable seating. The event will also include sign language interpreters who will be available to anyone who is hearing impaired.
The VIP tent will be expanded and will include food and beer, courtesy of Michial Dailey and Bud Light. The Food Court will also be expanded to include free standing tables, chairs, and umbrellas to provide more shaded areas to sit and enjoy the daytime at the event.
We are also proud to announce in an effort to make our event more "green" we will have recyclable bottles and recyclable bins throughout the event. Please do your part in helping us keep the event environmentally friendly.
We look forward to seeing you on October 9th and 10th for Pride on Parade and Pride in the Desert.
