Public TV Series Primal Grill® Season Three Underway in Rio Rico
November, 2009. The "biggest, badest most comprehensive grilling show yet" has returned to Rio Rico to film Season Three. The Esplendor Resort and Country Club is offering a one-day only behind-the-scenes tour as well as on-going Primal Grill ® specials for the occasion.
The "professor" of "Barbeque University," chef Steven Reichlen, is shooting the popular series at the resorts Country Club, with a backdrop of the resort's own Trent Jones Sr. golf course.
It's the second year the resort has hosted the series, which has been picked up by over 98% of public television stations - -- more than 300 stations nation-wide. The show features such episodes as "Fish Without Fear" and "Really Big Beef," designed for the backyard barbeque enthusiast. Filming began in late October and will end this month.
The resort has several specials with Primal Grill® offerings including the "Two Courses Special" with golf and a dinner with recipes from the show. You can also enjoy a one-day only behind the scenes tour to witness the filming first-hand. The tour November 7 is available for a small number of people as part of an overnight lodging package.
The resort now offers Primal Grill® entrees such as the signature "Esplendor Cheesesteak Filet Mignon" as part of its regular fare in the dining room. And a Primal Grill ® carving station will be featured at the resort's Thanksgiving Champagne Brunch.
