Guests have the opportunity to taste over 15 original margarita recipes as well as food samples from an array of Tucson Originals restaurants. A distinguished panel of judges determines the winner of The "World Margarita ChampionshipTM". Guests also have the chance to cast their vote for their favorite margarita for the "People's Choice Award".
The Tucson Culinary Festival Events are productions of the Tucson Originals, Tucson's leading group of independently owned, local restaurants. Their mission to showcase the fresh original flavors of Tucson, to remind the public on the importance of supporting locally owned businesses, and to generate funding for selected beneficiaries. A port ion of the proceeds from the 2013 will go to the Blair Charity Group. Founded by former UA/pro basketball star Joseph Blair, the Blair Charity Group raises funds to support on-going youth mentoring programs in Southern Arizona.
