You don't have to break the bank, or even open it to have a blast in Tucson.

It's Never Been So Easy to FREE Yourself

In Tucson, you can find awesome events and things to do any time of year. There are trails to hike, rocks to climb, parks to explore, galleries to browse, and museums to peruse. Get started with these five fantastic freebies.

1. 2nd Saturdays Downtown Tucson

2nd Saturdays is a family-friendly festival held downtown every 2nd Saturday of every single month. For both music lovers and foodies, it's not to be missed as stages pop up on side streets, vendors flood the sidewalks and food trucks get in the mix as well.

2. Mission San Xavier del Bac

Great news...one of Tucson's most incredible attractions is free (although it would be nice if you threw a couple of bucks in the donation box).

3. The Turquoise Trail

Want a glimpse into the history and culture of Tucson, while getting a nice walk in as well? The Turquoise Trail is one of several self-guided tours available of Downtown Tucson and a great opportunity to get to know where Tucson came from (and where it's going).

4. The Loop

Get your walking shoes out or find a bike and enjoy a (largely) car-free journey around Tucson. Whether you choose to take in a few miles along the Rillito or head out on an epic ride around the city's perimeter, you'll have a great time.

5. Center for Creative Photography

Tucson is home to one of the world's finest collections of photography and the gallery, which showcases a fascinating glimpse into the CCP's archives, is free for visitors. While you'll have to dip into your wallet a bit, you can make a full day out of visiting the University of Arizona's excellent (and affordable) museums, including the University of Arizona Museum of Art right across the street.
