Featured Day Trip - Back to Bisbee

This former Old West mining town, 95 miles southeast of Tucson, has evolved into a fascinating destination with a modern personality all its own.

Shop
Explore Old Town Bisbee's art galleries, antique stores, and specialty shops. Acacia Art & Antiques' tempting collection ranges from antique furniture, American glassware, and Western collectibles, to vintage clothing and jewelry, restored period telephones, and more. At nearby K.G. Potters Shop you'll find one-of-a-kind, handmade, clay crockery in a rainbow of colors. Acacia Art & Antiques, 520-432-2752; K.G. Potters Shop, 520-432-2196.

Relax
In between browsing antique shops and galleries, relax with your favorite beverage in the saloon of the famed Copper Queen Hotel. Try the signature Bisbee Blue Margarita while perched on the patio at the oldest continually running hotel in Arizona. Lunch on soup, sandwiches, or a hearty salad at the hotel's restaurant. Every second Saturday, 5-8 p.m., browse Old Town during Bisbee After 5 for music, food, and discounts. Copper Queen Hotel, 520-432-2216.

Dine
A trip to Bisbee isn't complete without dinner at Café Roka. The award-winning restaurant has an Art Deco feel and a meticulous, seasonally changing menu. Call ahead for current hours and reservations. Café Roka, 520-432-5153.

Stay
Spend the night at the Letson Loft Hotel, a charming boutique-style inn overlooking the heart of Old Town Bisbee. With eight elegant urban guestrooms in a building featuring authentic Victorian architecture, this hotel offers a glimpse of the past as well as a lofty view of the delightful present-day downtown. Letson Loft Hotel, 520-432-3210.

Browse
Stock up on fresh, locally raised fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats, and locally handmade arts and crafts at the bustling Bisbee Farmers Market most Saturday mornings.
