1st Annual Wingspan Golf Classic - November 20, 2009 The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain (a new Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course) hosts this amateur golf tournament, featuring a shotgun start and 4-person scramble and low gross, to benefit Wingspan, Southern Arizona's LGBT community center.
American Shorttrack Racing Expo Golf Tournament - January 2, 2010 Relax with other auto racing enthusiasts and American Shorttrack Racing Expo participants and celebrities on the scenic golf course at JW Marriott Starr Pass Country Club and Spa. Registration is $100/person for four-person scramble, which includes after-tournament lunch and cash prizes, and trophies for special accomplishments. St. Pius X Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament - January 9, 2010 Dorado Country Club hosts Knights of Columbus golf tournament to raise money for St. Pius X Teen Mission Outreach Program. Four-person, best-ball scramble with each player using three drives. Registration at 7 a.m.; shotgun start at 8 a.m. Player fee is $55 (includes cart, lunch, and opportunity to win prizes). Open to all interested in supporting K of C charities. The entry form is due December 26, 2009. 14th Annual Coyote Classic Charity Golf Tournament - January 31, 2010 Omni Tucson National Golf Resort hosts American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) golf tournament to benefit Arizona Torch Run for Special Olympics and to show appreciation to the City of Tucson for hosting AGTA GemFair show. Sign-in begins at noon; shotgun start at 1 p.m. Register as a foursome, or as an individual and be paired with other singles. Player's fees are $150/person, $500/foursome if paid in one payment. Fee includes a golf cart, boxed lunch, and golfer's surprise. Open to all; public participation is encouraged. World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship - February 15-21, 2010 This cornerstone of the World Golf Championships is played northwest of Tucson in Marana at the new The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. The best 64 available golfers from the Official World Golf Ranking compete at this match-play event that benefits the local chapter of The First Tee and other charities. Women's Senior National Golf Championship - April 19-25, 2010 Omni Tucson National Golf Resort hosts this inaugural, national, professional golf championship for senior women, which will help benefit the Tucson Conquistadores' First Tee Tucson charity that raises money for youth athletic programs in Southern Arizona. April 19-20 are free-to-the-public practice days. April 21-22 are free-to-the-public pro/amateur days. April 23-25 are championship play days: $10/day, $25/3-day pass.
