Meet the Family
Family Philosophy: Find adventure in everything we do.
“Our weekends are never the same and never boring. We are definitely tourists in our town – attractions, festivals, sporting events – you name it, and we’re there! Just going for sushi or a visit to Lee Lee Oriental Supermarket is an adventure for us. Just the other night, we created a scavenger hunt to entice the boys to take a walk in the neighborhood. In addition, Vince brought a bag and picked up trash along our route.”
Joanne is a busy mom keeping up with her active boys, a full-time job in human resources, and taking classes for HR certification. Originally from Beaverton, Oregon, Joanne loves spending time in the Arizona sunshine—enjoying patio dining at Tucson restaurants; walking the family border collie, Pete; and cheering on the kids at their sporting events. When asked what her favorite thing about Tucson in the summer is, Joanne says, “I absolutely love when the sun’s rays shine through the clouds, like the state flag. I truly believe Tucson is heaven on earth!”
Vince grew up in Arizona, and jumped at the chance to bring his family back to Tucson in 2005. He works in the sports industry and travels frequently for business and leisure. In fact, he’s visited more than 200 cities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. When he’s not working and traveling, Vince enjoys reading, watching movies, and experiencing the great outdoors—either hiking or camping. When asked about his goals for the future Vince says, “I want to be the best husband and the hero of my children when I grow up.”
Kirin aspires to be an actor when he grows up, and couldn’t help hamming it up for the camera at the Tucson Will Surprise You photo shoots. He loves Legos, rolling on his Heely’s, and playing outside with his friends. His favorite foods are bananas, pizza, and hot Cheetos. Should the acting gig fail, Kirin plans to play college football and then be a police officer.
Zane loves to play basketball, soccer, baseball, ride bikes, and toss around the football. When he’s not working up a sweat on the court or field, he likes to watch movies, go to the Donut Wheel, and go to church. His favorite foods are pizza, cantaloupe, and donuts. Zane also wants to play sports when he goes to college.
