Beat Back Buffelgrass Day - Saturday, January 28, 2012

Tucson Clean and Beautiful - Friday, October 7, 2011
Real Caring - Music Hall paintingMembers of the Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau volunteered their time to give the retaining walls near the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall a fresh coat of paint. Real Caring - Tucson Clean & Beautiful ImageMTCVB joined with Tucson Clean & Beautiful, which promotes and develops community environmental education & participatory programs in waste reduction, recycling, litter abatement and prevention, beautification, resource conservation, solar and alternative energy, and much more. Over 10 MTCVB staff, along with staff from our accommodation partners, cleaned litter along Kolb Road from 22nd Street to Speedway, as well as two washes nearby. Beat Back Buffelgrass Day - Saturday, February 5, 2011
Real Caring - MTCVB BuffelgrassMore than 30 MTCVB staff and their family joined hundreds of other Tucsonans for the Beat Back Buffelgrass Day.  MTCVB worked for four hours and pulled 65 bags of buffelgrass from two acres in lower Bear Canyon. Take a look at our Facebook photo album of the event!

Real Caring - MTCVB Bens BellsOver 20 Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau staff volunteered to help paint Ben's Bells at their studio, located in Main Gate Square, near the University of Arizona. We were thrilled to be a part of such a positive Tucson organization.

 

MTCVB Makes a Difference! - Saturday, October 24, 2009
Real Caring - MTCVB Cleanup DayOn National Make a Difference Day, The Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau (MTCVB) and our industry partners worked to beautify a stretch of Tucson's Benson Highway that leads visitors from the Tucson International Airport to the heart of our amazing city. MTCVB was joined by tourism industry professionals from Southern Arizona Lodging & Resort Association (SALARA), the Attractions Alliance, and the Tucson Airport Authority.

Aviva Children's Services Holiday Adopt-a-Family
For the last 10-years, the Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Buerau has adopted a family for the Holiday season. We are passionate about helping those in need, and will continue to help in any way we can.

Gospel Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Dinner
The MTCVB has been donating to the Gospel Rescue Mission since 2006.

Tucson Clean and Beautiful
Volunteer with the Tucson Clean and Beautiful agency on a one-time or ongoing basis to adopt a park, street, wash, desert and other public area and help manage litter in Metroplitan Tucson and keep our community clean and safe.

Help With Harvesting
Help out with harvesting, planting, and running the new farm stand at the Community Food Bank's organic farm in Marana, or volunteer at the Farmer's Market.

Meet Me at Maynards Social Walk/Run Experience the beauty, history and architecture of our unique neighborhoods, patronize local businesses, and pick up trash along the 4-mile route, on the third Monday of every month.
