Tucson, AZ – February 9, 2025 – Mariana de la Vega Art Gallery & Studio, in collaboration with Collective Tapestry, is proud to present Art & Healing at the Crossroads, an immersive workshop designed to explore the transformative power of the arts in building resilience and fostering emotional well-being. This unique event will take place on March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1918 E. Prince Rd, Tucson, AZ.
A Joint Initiative for Healing Through Art
This workshop brings together the expertise of Collective Tapestry, an organization dedicated to using expressive arts as a tool for trauma recovery, and Mariana de la Vega Art Gallery & Studio, a community-driven creative space committed to cultural and emotional enrichment. Together, they introduce the Encrucijadas Project, a research-backed methodology integrating trauma-informed, arts-based interventions that promote mental wellness and healing.

Shabrae Jackson – A dedicated expressive arts facilitator and educator specializing in trauma recovery, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding. She holds a Master’s in Expressive Arts and is a PhD candidate in the field. Her global work includes supporting migrants, refugees, and trauma survivors.

Mariana de la Vega – A Certified Expressive Arts and Wellness Coach, bilingual educator, and artist specializing in trauma-informed healing, mindfulness, and emotional resilience. Mariana has spearheaded multiple art-based recovery programs, helping individuals process trauma and grief through creative expression.
