August Show Schedule

August 13, Second Saturdays Downtown - 7pm– The Sound of My Voice with Musical Artists: Liz and Pete

The Music: Known as “Liz and Pete” Liz Cerepanya and Peter Dalton Ronstadt joined musical forces in 2019.  The popular duo has recorded an album “Beautiful Strangers” featuring Liz’s heartfelt voice and Pete’s haunting harmonies and rich guitar arrangements. Liz & Pete's natural element is just the two of them on stage accompanied by an acoustic guitar and the Pennsylvania Stompbox.

The Movie (2019): The highly acclaimed 2019 documentary film, The Sound of My Voice, is a musical biography and tribute to Tucson native Linda Ronstadt, performer, artist and pioneer whose story is as textured and interesting as the songs she sings. The legendary singer narrates her personal story, guiding viewers from her early years through her decades- long career and genre-defying musical collaborations. This viewing is appropriately well timed as the singer was honored this month when the city of Tucson renamed the Music Hall at the Tucson Convention Center as the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall.

August 27, 7:30pm - The Sound of Music Sing-along

The Sound of Music is a five-times Oscar winner. It was released in 1965, but it offers its fans something a little different from other classic movies. The movie has some of the best-known songs of the last century contained within a score by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse. At each event, fans watch the movie and take part in various songs and scenes under the watchful eye of a host who guides the audience through the movie to make sure you get the maximum enjoyment from the show. One of the reasons for the success of the Sing-along Sound of Music phenomenon is the fact the movie is simply a classic.

August 28, 7:00pm - Andy Grammer · The Art of Joy Tour

Multi Platinum troubadour Andy Grammer continues to engage, energize, and empower audiences with stomping stadium-size pop anthems meant to be shared at full volume. His catalog consists of numerous bona fide hits, including the quadruple-platinum “Honey, I’m Good,” platinum singles “Keep Your Head Up,” “Fine By Me,” “Don’t Give Up On Me,” “Fresh Eyes,” “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah),” gold single “I Found You,” and the gold albums Andy Grammer and Magazines Or Novels. He has quietly generated billions of streams and lent his music to films such as Five Feet Apart. When “Don’t Give Up On Me” soundtracked ESPN’s 13th Annual V Week for Cancer Reach, he garnered a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction and a Clio Award.
