TUCSON, AZ— In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Tucson Botanical Gardens is partnering with local muralists Ashley White and Shaurir Anand, co-founders of Delsa Designs, to create a bold and enduring public art piece that captures the spirit, beauty and cultural legacy of the Gardens.

The mural will be painted on the outside wall at the Gardens (2150 N. Alvernon Way) in a striking Art Nouveau style.

The artists are launching a community fundraising campaign to raise $16,000 to fund the project. The funds will cover design, artist teams time, equipment, city permits & painting materials.

“Public art has the power to connect people and places. We’ve been fortunate to contribute murals across Tucson, and this project is our way of giving back to a space that’s touched so many lives.” said Ashley White & Shaurir Anand.

Community members are invited to support the project by donating to the fundraiser and helping spread the word. Every donation, large or small, helps bring the mural to life. To Get Involved go to https://gofund.me/dd9e34194

A sneak peek of the mural design will be unveiled at the official campaign launch.
