Tucson, Arizona, 3/21/2025 --On Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, come celebrate the Japanese national holiday of Children’s Day (Kokomo no Hi) with us at Yume Japanese Gardens!
This festival falls annually on May 5. It is a day when Japanese families celebrate the healthy growth and happiness of their children. This year, our celebration will include many fun crafts, games, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The event will feature a live Taiko Drumming performance from Suzuyuki-Kai MoGan Daiko; there will also be interactive play with the drums. The event will also feature storytelling, origami (paper folding), ikebana (flower arrangement), Japanese crafts, and much more! All the activities are designed for children to enjoy and partake in!
The Takoyaki Balls Food Truck will be on site!!! Enjoy their delicious octopus dumplings and other tasty Japanese foods! Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase.
