Tucson, AZ---For the past 28 years Tu Nidito has provided compassionate support services that help to create acceptance and understanding for those children and their families who are grieving a serious medical condition or death. Executive Director Liz McCusker has led Tu Nidito with the mission that “No child grieves alone”. "Many kids come to Tu Nidito to be with kids, just like them, who are grieving a death or a serious medical diagnosis”.
Dueling Pianos is one of the most enjoyable annual events that generates additional support for the vital work done at Tu Nidito. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 6 at 6pm at the Site 17 Event Center. The unique event features the talented duo of Andy Salmonsen and Wes Ringel, Andy is a Musical Director & Composer and Wes is a classically trained musician with Rock n Roll chops. Together they are dynamite – two grand pianos are center-stage with a team of outrageously talented pianists that seem to know every song ever written. Guests are encouraged to challenge them with their favorite selections, sing and dance along throughout the evening. Tips for requests are highly encouraged and serve as added revenue for the organization. Tickets can be purchased at Dueling Pianos .
“Grief work is hard”, continues Liz,” We know that, and we also know that having fun and finding joy and optimism is a valuable piece of the journey. We want to lift this spirit with a joyous evening of Dueling Pianos. We will share songs and so much more as we raise critical funds for our children and their families."
Dueling Pianos is produced with support from DentalPros, Gadabout Salon Spas, Bourn Companies, Caterpillar and Hazen Enterprises.
