March 1, 7:30pm – Dirty Dancing: In Concert and Pre-Show Reception

Join us for Dirty Dancing in Concert, the classic film’s first live film-to-concert experience. Enjoy the digitally remastered hit film like never before on a full-size cinema screen, with a live band and singers performing the film’s iconic songs. With a soundtrack that marked a generation, Dirty Dancing in Concert promises to bring a thrilling new and unique experience to the 80s classic. Directly following the film, the band and singers will throw an encore party that will surely take you back to the time of your life as you sing and dance along to your favorite Dirty Dancing songs. Immerse yourself in the timeless romance and experience one of the most memorable movies of the past 35 years – now live!

Pre-show reception for Dirty Dancing featuring Hawaiian themed treats and drinks in honor of the grand finale talent show in the original film.  Attire inspired by the film is highly encouraged.  Participate in an on-site raffle and try out your best Dirty Dancing moves alongside some very special entertainment guests.  Tickets are only $25 (includes tickets to the show)

 

March 3, 7:30pm- Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Pre-Show Buffet

Gillian Welch’s rich and remarkable career spans over twenty-five years, and she and her musical partner David Rawlings are a pillar of the modern acoustic music world. They have been hailed by Pitchfork as “modern masters of American folk” and “protectors of the American folk song” by Rolling Stone. After moving to Nashville in the early 1990s, Welch was launched into the public consciousness when Emmylou Harris recorded a cover of Welch’s “Orphan Girl.” Her career continued to flourish as her 1996 debut Revival, produced by T Bone Burnett, was released to critical acclaim. Firmly on the roots music map following the release, Welch followed up that GRAMMY nominated album release with 1998’s Hell Among the Yearlings, a stark duet record with Rawlings, further solidifying the duo as a force in the folk music scene

March 6, 7:30pm – An Evening with Branford Marsalis and Pre- Show Reception

Branford Marsalis Quartet: Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one of the most influential and revered figures in contemporary music. The NEA Jazz Master, Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee is equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead, but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics.

March 11, 7:30pm – Lyle Lovett Acoustic Group  SOLD OUT

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Whether touring as a ‘Duo’ or with his ‘Acoustic Group’ or his ‘Large Band,’ Lovett’s live performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend’s deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences, making him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in popular music.

Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lyle Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. Among his many accolades, besides the four Grammy Awards, he was given the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award and was named Texas State Musician. Set in her hometown of Guadalajara, the auspicious and quirky debut by Úrzula Barba Hopfner tells the story of Corina, a 20-year-old who rarely leaves her house except to work at a local publishing house. She finds herself in crisis after making a grave mistake in the final installment of the company’s most famous book saga. To save her job—and the company itself, she must face her fears and, with Carlos’s help, set off on a journey to track down a mysterious writer. Starring the charming Naian González Norvind (New Order) in the title role, Corina is an uplifting and endearing fable, reminiscent of Amélie, about stepping beyond one’s comfort zone to embrace the unknown.
