Tucson, AZ—The Holidays are alive and well at the Fox Tucson Theatre. Following the dazzling premier of the Grand Wurlitzer organ in October, the momentum continues this month and through the end the year with an outstanding selection of live entertainment, festive holiday shows and classic movies. Fox Executive Director Bonnie Schock is thrilled with the response the programming at the Fox has received. November 26, 7:30pm - Sara Evans Blue Christmas Tour
Multi-platinum entertainer Sara Evans is at the top of her game. As the fifth most-played female artist at country radio in nearly the last two decades — her five No. 1 singles include No Place That Far, Suds In The Bucket, A Real Fine Place To Start, Born to Fly, and A Little Bit Stronger, which spent 2 weeks in the top spot and was certified platinum by the R.I.A.A. November 27, 7:30pm – Jake Shimabukaroo Christmas in Hawaii
Ukulele master and jolly ambassador of Aloha, Jake Shimbukuro, will bring joy to the world this upcoming 2021 Holiday Season by delivering a special gift for all with the debut of his highly anticipated holiday show, Jake Shimabukuro-Christmas in Hawaii. With only four strings, Jake is a humble master whose mission is to connect and inspire people. In addition to his signature show favorites, this special show will draw on a vibrant catalog of holiday classics such as We Three Kings, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, O Holy Night, I’ll Be Home For Christmas and selections from his “Jake & Friends” album to be released in November 2021 (Willie Nelson, Bette Midler, Jack Johnson, Michael McDonald, Vince Gill & Amy Grant and more).
December 9, 7:30pm - Mariachi Sol De Mexico Presents Jose Hernandez Merry-Achi Christmas
Led by Jose Hernandez, Mariachi Sol de Mexico brings a festive musical tribute to the traditions of Christmas in Mexico. Experience a multicultural celebration as the ensemble sings and plays Mexican and American holiday favorites in a vibrant performance. Tucson’s own Ballet Folklorico from Viva Performing Arts will perform several numbers with Mariachi Sol de Mexico.
December 10, 7:30pm - An Irish Christmas 2021
An Irish Christmas was conceived, produced and directed by Margaret O’ Carroll owner of Kerry Irish Productions Inc. Central to her work is the forging of the path between the old and the new incorporating old Irish traditions reflecting various aspects of Irish life into her stage work, creating an unbreakable bond between the old ways and the new. Take a journey through Christmas in Ireland with superb dancing, singing and Irish traditional music celebrating the international spirit of the holiday season.
December 18, 7:30 pm - In the Christmas Mood, A Holiday Music Spectacular
Hosted by 94.9 MIX-FM’s “Greg & Mere in the Morning” and starring Tucson’s top performers including, Katherine Byrnes, Brian Levario, Chach Snook, and Crystal Stark, In the Christmas Mood is an evening of non-stop singing, dancing, comedy, and holiday magic. Produced by Khris Dodge Entertainment, the show will feature treasured holiday songs such as “Sleigh Ride,” “Happy Holidays,” “Jingle Bells,” “The Christmas Song,” and much more.

December 5, 7:00 pm - Lindsey Buckingham
Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most inventive and electrifying musicians of his generation. His instinct for melody and his singular fingerpicking guitar style are showcased on the seven studio and three live albums he has released as a solo artist, beginning with 1981’s Law and Order and continuing through this year’s Lindsey Buckingham, his first solo release since 2011’s Seeds We Sow. Over the last four decades, Under Buckingham’s direction, Fleetwood Mac became one of the best-selling and most beloved rock groups of all time. As a solo artist, Buckingham often plays nearly every instrument himself; his complex arrangements and inventive production choices make his solo work thrilling to experience.

Over the past four decades, Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots, blues, soul, and R&B, with five Grammy wins, 20 acclaimed studio albums and a bundle of live albums that punctuate the Blues Hall of Famer’s career. On That’s What I Heard, Robert celebrates the music of Curtis Mayfield, Bobby “Blue” Bland, The Sensational Nightingales and more, alongside four newly written songs. Pokey LaFarge is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, poet and actor living in Los Angeles. Raised on a healthy diet of blues, bluegrass, ragtime, Western swing and old-time country, the Illinois native writes timeless, multi-hued songs that reflect his refined good taste, as well as the wide variety of influences and rhythms he’s absorbed over a decade-plus spent traveling and performing around the globe. Having toured extensively with backing by the South City Three string band and an ever-shifting cast of additional players, LaFarge is now playing occasional solo shows while focusing on finishing his first book of poetry. Join LaFarge for this intimate solo concert, an evening not to be missed.
December 19, 7:00 pm - My Bluegrass Heart Béla Fleck, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Bryan Sutton
Over the last four decades, Béla Fleck has made a point of boldly going where no banjo player has gone before, a musical journey that has earned him 15 Grammys in nine different fields, including Country, Pop, Jazz, Instrumental, Classical and World Music. But his roots are in bluegrass, and that’s where he returns with his first bluegrass tour in 24 years, My Bluegrass Heart (to be released this fall). My Bluegrass Heart is the third chapter of a trilogy which began with the 1988 album, Drive, and continued in 1991 with The Bluegrass Sessions. The second tour for the project features a who’s who of some of the greatest instrumentalists in bluegrass music’s history. Sometimes known as the Telluride House Band, sometimes as the Drive Band, containing four fifths of Strength in Numbers, half of New Grass Revival, and half of Goat Rodeo, these musicians have been intertwining in a myriad of ways since the early 1980’s and all have been major movers in the forward progression of acoustic music to the present day.

Based on the humorous writings of author Jean Shepherd, this beloved holiday movie follows the wintry exploits of youngster Ralphie Parker (Peter Billingsley), who spends most of his time dodging a bully (Zack Ward) and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift, a “Red Ryder air rifle.” Frequently at odds with his cranky dad (Darren McGavin) but comforted by his doting mother (Melinda Dillon), Ralphie struggles to make it to Christmas Day with his glasses and his hopes intact.
December 12, 2pm - Jingle all the Way - A 25th anniversary celebration featuring a special appearance by the film’s director, Brian Levant

With a special appearance by Turbo Man and opportunity for photos with the iconic superhero. A special discussion will take place and Jingle all the Way action figures, t-shirts will be available for purchase following the movie.
Jingle All the Way stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad as two rival fathers, workaholic Howard Langston (Schwarzenegger) and postal worker Myron Larabee (Sinbad), both desperately trying to purchase a Turbo-Man action figure for their respective sons on a last-minute shopping spree on Christmas Eve. Special Jingle all the Way merchandise, a walk around Turbo Man and more!
*Brian Levant is a television and film director, writer, and producer and an alumnus of and adjunct professor at the University of Arizona. He started his career in 1977 as a writer for the TV series The Jeffersons. Levant’s name appears on over 400 episodes and pilots for television as a writer, showrunner and director, including Happy Days, Mork & Mindy, and Married with Children. He received a Cable ACE Award in 1989 for directing The New Leave It to Beaver. Levant directed the films Beethoven, The Flintstones, Jingle All the Way, Snow Dogs, and Are We There Yet?
