TUCSON, ARIZ., January 10, 2023 ---There’s a definite beat in the air– can you hear it? It’s the countdown to the 9th Annual HSL Properties Tucson Jazz Festival, which gets underway this Friday, January 13th, with the great Joshua Redman at Centennial Hall. His performance kicks off a sensational nine days of events featuring some of the greatest jazz talents in the world. This rare opportunity to experience a broad range of styles, venues and performances is only available at “Jazz in January”.
A few last-minute changes to note: With the incredible success of Samara Joy’s recently released first album (top 10), her show on January 19 has been moved from The Playground to The Rialto Theatre. Pedrito Martinez and Alfredo Rodriguez who were originally scheduled for The Rialto will now perform at the Hotel Congress Plaza.
From intimate settings like The Century Room, to the acoustically perfect Fox Tucson Theatre; from the legendary Rialto Theatre and the Hotel Congress Plaza, to the rooftop room at the Playground and more, the outstanding quality of the venues matches the excellent selection of entertainment options throughout the festival. Tickets and detailed information for the entire festival can be found at https://www.tucsonjazzfestival.org/. Photos for all acts listed below are available upon request.
