Los Milics Vineyards Named 2nd Best Wine Tasting Room in the US

(Elgin, Arizona) -- Los Milics Vineyards is a winner in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024 for Best Wine Tasting Room. The LMV tasting room was ranked 2nd best in the country and is the only Arizona property to make the list.

“We are humbled to receive this national recognition,” said Pavle Milic, LMV winemaker and co-founder. “First, we thank the panel of experts who nominated us for this honor. Secondly, a huge thank you to everyone who voted for us. We are grateful to all of you for your belief in Los Milics Vineyards and your support.”

“This award belongs to the entire Los Milics team who believe in our vision to bring a new wine tasting experience to Arizona,” said LMV co-founder Mo Garfinkle. “Our goal has always been to make excellent wines and invite our guests to experience them in an exceptional setting with superb service. We are still a young winery, so for our tasting room to be voted the 2nd best in the US is a huge honor for us.”

Milic and Garfinkle began their partnership by purchasing 20 acres in the high desert of Southern Arizona for the estate vineyard in 2018. The pristine landscape inspired the architectural firm of Chen + Suchart, who became the architects for Los Milics Vineyards. In addition to the contemporary tasting room, which opens onto a large patio for indoor/outdoor wine tastings, Chen + Suchart designed the winery’s production facility. Nine guest casitas are nestled within the estate vineyard, and can be reserved starting in mid-August.

In early 2024, Los Milics Vineyards opened their second location, a tasting room located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. Both the Elgin and Scottsdale tasting rooms may be booked for private events and other occasions.

Nominees for the 2024 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards were chosen by a panel of subject matter experts. The panel included a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com, and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The nominees were then voted on by the public.
