Tucson, AZ – This December, Mariana de la Vega Art Gallery joins forces with ZUZI! Dance to unveil Pillars of Light, an immersive exhibition that honors the strength, beauty, and resilience of nature and the human spirit. Opening on December 14, 2024, this powerful collaboration combines the visual arts with live dance, exploring the symbolism of trees as pillars of endurance, adaptability, and transformation.

Running from December 14 through December 26, 2024, the Pillars of Light exhibit kicks off with an engaging opening reception from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on December 14, featuring a live performance by the acclaimed ZUZI! Dance troupe. The performance is designed to bring the exhibit’s themes to life, offering audiences a multi-sensory experience that dives into the journey from darkness into light, a path familiar both to trees in nature and humans as they navigate life’s changes.

“Pillars of Light is an invitation to witness how art and nature mirror each other,” says Mariana de la Vega, Director of the Gallery. “Through both visual and performing arts, we explore how, like trees, we grow stronger with each season’s challenges and ultimately reach for the light.”
