Tucson,AZ— In partnership with the Tucson Jazz Festival, the Downtown Clifton Hotel presents the DTC Summer Jazz Series featuring cutting edge artists and curated chef dinners. On Saturday, August 21st, The Downtown Clifton, at 485 S. Stone Avenue, will host the first show in its summer jazz series from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. The premiere event features a private courtyard performance by the jazz group Yardfire, accompanied by a chef-curated, three course dinner from the Red Light Lounge. DJ Dibs will perform alongside Yardfire, intertwining his DJ stylings into the live music. The dinner menu includes the Stone Ave Salad with pepitas and cotija, masa dumplings with grilled chicken, mahi or vegetables and individual fizzy fruit pies. “We are always looking for innovative ways to introduce new artists in exciting ways,” says Tucson Jazz Festival Executive Director Khris Hodges, “this partnership with The Downtown Clifton is a great way to bring a fresh new feel for cool jazz in the desert to a different crowd.” It was the perfect fit for hotel owner Moniqua Lane. “I’m thrilled to bring back the supper club concept for today’s audience,” says Lane. After the concert, the hotel will host Jazz After Dark inside the Red Light Lounge with a DJ led jazz-centric experience.
