Tucson, AZ --- Tucson’s very first Vegan Restaurant Week will take place from December 1-7, 2024, The creation of Hannah Hernandez of Death Free Foodie and Shane Reiser, Publisher of Tucson Foodie, Vegan Tucson Restaurant Week has been in the works for a while.  Based on the overwhelming success of their quarterly Vegan Night Markets, they felt that the time was right to open the experience to a wider audience.  The mission of Vegan Restaurant Week is to allow everyone, regardless of diet, to explore the delicious possibilities of plant-based eating, supporting local small business economies and attracting new, loyal guests.

I’m so excited to see Tucson’s first-ever Vegan Tucson Restaurant Week finally happening," said Hannah. "I can’t wait to see the incredible vegan dishes local restaurants create and hear about everyone’s experiences exploring plant-based cuisine around town.”

Most participating restaurants will offer prix fixe menus, others will feature their signature vegan dishes.  Over the seven day event, guests can enjoy the best of vegan offerings with dishes like Vegan Picadillo - seasoned ground vegan beef slow cooked at Mojo Cuban Restaurant and Rum Bar, the Tofu Mosaic and Crispy Rice at the Coronet, the Green Chili Burger at Lovin’ Spoonful and so much more..

Diners can find locations and menus of participating restaurants at www.veganrestaurantweek.com .

“Our goal is to shine a spotlight on Tucson’s amazing vegan options and inspire diners to try something new,” said Shane Reiser. “With no participation fees for restaurants and a city-wide celebration of plant-based cuisine, this event is a win for everyone.” Restaurants interested in joining can contact Shane Reiser at shane@tucsonfoodie.com
