Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Arizona – The Verde Valley Rally is set to kick off from April 4 to 6, 2025, offering a weekend filled with cycling events designed for riders of all ages and skill levels. Nestled in the heart of Arizona's picturesque Verde Valley, this community event series emphasizes family-friendly activities, live music, local food trucks, and more.

 

Event Lineup:

  • TAPCO Lowkey Gravel Event | April 4, 2025: Kicking off the weekend, this 36-mile gravel ride offers stunning views of Sedona, Sycamore Canyon, and the Verde River. Starting at 9:30 AM from Lower TAPCO in Clarkdale, AZ, the course features aid stations at miles 4, 9, 15, 20, and 25.
     

  • Historic Downtown Clarkdale Criterium | April 5, 2025: Set in the heart of Clarkdale, this criterium race features a 0.9-mile figure-eight course suitable for various racing categories. The day includes live music performances by Local Honey, food trucks, a farmers' and vendor market, and a beer and wine garden. All proceeds benefit Chain Reaction AZ, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
     

  • "Shred the Dead" MTB Event | April 6, 2025: This cross-country mountain bike race traverses Dead Horse State Park and Coconino National Forest, offering competitive distances of 17, 32, and 46 miles, along with non-competitive options of 5- and 12- miles. The event features live music by The Skavelinas and others, a farmers' and vendor market, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden. 
     

"The Verde Valley Rally embodies the spirit of community and the joy of cycling," says Greg Miranda, President of Chain Reaction. "Our mission is to provide bicycles for transportation, support youth in cycling, and advocate for safer streets. This event brings together families, friends, and cyclists to celebrate and support these initiatives." This year's event is sponsored by Jones Ford Verde Valley, Verde Valley Bicycle Company, Hale’s Roofing, Tim Allen the Realtor, and many others.

 

About Verde Valley Rally:

Inspired by Arizona's Verde Valley, the Verde Valley Rally is a community event series hosted by Verde Valley Bicycle Compay that collaborates with local organizations, Chain Reaction and Confluence 928. Proceeds from the events benefit local nonprofit, Chain Reaction, and are 100% volunteer-run, epitomizing the spirit of unity and support across the Arizona Sonoran Desert.

 

Beyond the Races

Beyond the races, attendees can enjoy live music performances, a farmers' market, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden. Children's activities are available throughout the weekend, ensuring fun for the entire family. 

 

Make it a Weekend

If you are not participating in all of the race events, we encourage people to visit local attractions and take advantage of the wine tasting from the viticulture region. Local experiences include the all-inclusive tour on the Verde Canyon Railroad, viewing the Tuzigoot National Monument, kayaking the Verde River, and exploring the local state parks, Dead Horse State Park and Jerome Mining State Park.
