Arizona’s Children Association
With more than 40 programs and services across every county in the state, Arizona's Children Association's Prevention, Intervention and Permanency programs can mean the difference between a hope-filled future and a life of despair for many Arizona children and families. We believe that every child deserves a permanent home that is safe and nurturing and we strive toward that goal. Annually, Arizona's Children Association serves more than 45,000 children and their families across all 15 counties in Arizona. We are one of the largest non-profit agencies in the state to offer foster care, adoption, behavioral health, prevention programs, and other child welfare services -- thanks to your contributions, we’ve been positively affecting the lives of Arizona’s children for over 97 years.
In addition to special "Gifts of Hope" volunteer efforts over the holidays, volunteers are also currently needed in three priority areas:• Long term individual volunteers who will commit to a consistent time and number of hours each week or month for a specific position, i.e. education, child care, recreation, receptionist, accountant, Life Book program, etc.• Volunteer teams to complete one-time group projects at Arizona's Children facilities, i.e. painting, gardening, facilities maintenance, packet assembly, cleaning playrooms, etc.• Volunteer companies to conduct in-house group drives to provide necessary items for children in Arizona's foster care system and the families who care for them.Volunteer RequirementsAll volunteers must be at least 18 years old and in some cases, 21 years old. All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation and placement training. Some volunteers must provide proof of driver's license and auto insurance, fingerprint clearance and negative TB results.
