Step back in time to the Old West... The Bird Cage Theatre is an experience you will never forget. Preserved since 1881. Nationally known historic Old West landmark. Site of 16 gunfights, 26 killings, refrain of "Bird in a Gilded Cage" song. Open to the public year-round, daily, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Tombstone, Arizona. The place has a reputation of being Haunted. Who knows, those poor souls that were murdered inside, may be ghosts still playing poker with a lady on their laps.

Just a Quick Stop

I did not actually go inside the theater, but snooped around the vestibule. Quite a few things to look at, even in there. So much history, so little time!

This place immerses you into the 1880s mining town. The beautiful, historic structure is well maintained. They play up the ghost thing a little much, however it adds to the charm. Skip the gift shop...
