Don't Expect too Much
Beautiful outdoor scenery in Vail AZ. The cave itself is pretty underwhelming. Damaged by looters, Very small. Dry. Nothing special at all. Nice history though.
We stopped by after we did saguaro and did the guided tour. Our guide, I can not remember her name, was very knowledgeable and shared some really cool facts. Totally worth the trip!

The cave tour is nice. Spotlights and floodlights illuminate deep crevasses and it's a short, easy walk. I also recommend the trail ride at Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Do reserve in advance. It's an...
