Open 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.Sabino Canyon offers spectacular views, a variety of wildlife, and dozens of marked trails that range from easy to advanced. The easiest hike is the one that takes you 3.8 miles up the canyon. Other favorites include the Telephone Line Trail (see below) and Bear Canyon.
Following the route of an old phone line that went up the mountain to the Palisades Ranger Station, the Phone Line Trail affords a view of Sabino Canyon seldom seen by the casual visitor. At its highest, the 41/2-mile trail takes you about 400 feet above the canyon, reducing to miniature the shuttles along the paved road and giving you an eagle's-eye view of the activities below. Relaxing place to walk with amazing scenery
Visiting from out of town. Went there with a local who calls it her happy place. You can walk or take a tram
Worth the Visit; but best if you can walk or hike
This review is directed to people who haven't yet visited Sabino Canyon on the NE edge of Tucson. This can be a very good visit, no matter your physical condition. There is a tram you can ride up...
A great day at Sabino Canyon
It was nice visiting Sabino Canyon. The nice landscapes amazed me. Huge cacti standing for 100 years. The shuttle service was very interesting. Also scopes of hiking and picnic.
