San Xavier Indian Reservation
The San Xavier Indian Reservation is in the southwestern part of metro Tucson and is the easternmost boundary of the Tohono O’odham Nation. Mission San Xavier del Bac, a Spanish mission built in the late 1700s by Tohono O’odham laborers, is located within the reservation.Mission San Xavier del Bac is a National Historic Landmark and has been in continuous use for more than 200 years. It is one of southern Arizona’s most popular visitor attractions and is located 10 miles south of Tucson, just west of Interstate 19.
