The Titan Missile Museum is the only publicly accessible Titan II missile site in the nation. At this National Historic Landmark site, visitors stand on the front line of the Cold War. Tour the underground missile site. See the three-ton blast doors, the eight-foot thick silo walls, and an actual Titan II missile in the launch duct. Visit the launch control center, experience a simulated launch and more! Go down in history at the Titan Missile Museum! Very interesting tour. Great docents. I was a kid when people started building their bomb shelters. Sobering reminder. But very interesting.
One of 54 Titan II missle silos from the Cold War era. You will walk away with a new respect for the men and women in uniform that staffed these sites 24/7. A must see in southern Arizona
