Pima Air & Space Museum: Conceptualized in 1966 during the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the creation of the United States Air Force and opened in 1976 as part of the celebration of the United States Bicentennial, PASM has grown to be one of the largest non-government funded aviation museums in the world with over 100,000 square feet of indoor display space and a collection of 350 aircraft on 80 acres on the southeast edge of Tucson.
