WPNA: Living Laboratory at Saguaro National Park
The Western National Parks Association (WPNA) celebrates Earth Day every day, offering unique ways to learn about all aspects of our earth, discovering research and exploring programs that will inspire environmental conservation today and every day. This three-minute video about one area of Saguaro National Park is titled "Citizen Science at Saguaro National Park" and is about citizen scientists who work alongside researchers to collect data and find answers to real-world questions in the living laboratory of Saguaro National Park.
The first Earth Day was organized on April 22, 1970 in a unified response to an environment in crisis and the environmental movement was born.
Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), WNPA has temporarily paused operations at The National Parks Store. We miss seeing you at our weekly programs and would like to stay connected with you. These weekly digital programs are for you to enjoy until we can see you again in person! Until then, stay safe and also check our website for news and resources: wnpa.org/news.
