2017 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl Information Sheet

The NOVA® Home Loans Arizona Bowl provides world-class experiences for college student-athletes, fans, and the Tucson community, culminating in a nationally recognized college football competition played at Arizona Stadium on the University of Arizona campus, December 29, 2017. 93rd Annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros -Tucson Rodeo & Parade Fact Sheet

Arizona's celebration of the cowboys, La Fiesta de los Vaqueros, has been heralded as Southern Arizona’s oldest and most celebrated heritage event since its inception in 1925. This annual event is centered around the Tucson Rodeo, one of the top 25 rodeos on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) calendar. The sports’ best cowboys and cowgirls compete in six rodeo performances on February 17 and 18, and February 22-25, 2018.

PGA TOUR Champions and Exact Sciences announce Cologuard Classic as new title of Tucson event

The PGA TOUR and Exact Sciences, the manufacturer of Cologuard, announced today an agreement making the early cancer detection company title sponsor of the PGA TOUR Champions event in Tucson, to be played February 26-March 4, 2018, two weeks earlier than the event’s traditional date to align with the beginning of March as national Colon Cancer Awareness Month.

Tucson Named First UNESCO City of Gastronomy in the USA

On December 11, 2015, Tucson, Arizona became one of 116 Member Cities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Creative Cities program - established in 2004 to promote cooperation between cities for "sustainable urban development" - and the only one in the United States selected for Gastronomy.

The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) – the premier association supporting and enabling festival and event professionals worldwide – announced and recognized the 2017 recipients of their “IFEA World Festival & Event City” award, during the 62nd Annual IFEA Convention, Expo & Retreat in Tucson, Arizona, United States on September 14, 2017.
