Spring is in the air. See you at 2nd Saturdays Downtown, March 9!


The temperature is mild. Come, hear live music, find your favorite food truck, and stroll the streets.

Tucson, AZ (March 4, 2019) - On Saturday, March 9, come to 2nd Saturdays Downtown for a free, family-friendly music festival. It’s fun and it’s all for you. Stroll on Congress Street to see many new clubs and restaurants. See many vendors and street merchants with items that are handmade or one of a kind. If you don’t find the food truck or vendor that you are looking for check for other activities on a side street such as 5th, from Congress Street to Toole Avenue, or on the corner of Stone and Congress. this family-friendly urban music festival has been going strong for almost nine years. If you haven’t visited Downtown on the 2nd Saturday of each month you should and catch up on all that is new. Winter hours are in effect from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Congress Street is jumping with people, music, food and activities. Look for street performers to entertain you from Toole Ave. to Church Avenue. On 6th Avenue you will find cars on display by The Westside Ride Classic Car Club. As you walk west on Congress Street, check-out those great cars and listen to live stage music. All the music is free, performed by local bands, and fills downtown with sound on the live 96.1 KLPX Stage at Scott Avenue and Congress Street. Check the 2nd Saturdays website for start times, schedule of bands, and live stage performances. Remember you can be part of the Downtown Tucson scene along Sun Link Streetcar route. Hop on at any stop along the Sun Link Streetcar corridor to be part of 2nd Saturdays, March 8.

The Kids’ Area at the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum, 414 N. Toole Ave., has interactive fun for the kids with FREE activities which include: Visit the museum and ring the bell on the locomotive that was featured in the 1955 movie, Oklahoma! Enjoy crafts by Gail and model garden-scale trains. Popcorn and soda are available for purchase. Check out these great venues:

WEST SIDE RIDES CLASSIC CAR CLUB: Located on 6th Avenue. If you love classic cars you must come check these guys out. The owners are on hand and love to answer your questions. These cars are special and so is each member of this club. They have been part of the scene with their great rides decorating the streets for this super event since 2010. This Club brings some of the best rides in town to the city center for you to see. These cars may be from the 30’s, 40’s or 50’s or even like the care you learned to drive. Part of the 2nd Saturdays family, West Side Rides provides 2nd Saturdays with great classic cars you won’t want to miss.
