New El Tour Kickoff: Pima County Loop the Loop

The new Pima County-El Tour "Loop the Loop" is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., on the The Loop multi-use path. There will be a post-ride party after the event.

Tucson Named First UNESCO City of Gastronomy

On December 11, 2015, Tucson, Arizona became one of 116 Member Cities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) Creative Cities program - established in 2004 to promote cooperation between cities for "sustainable urban development" - and the only one selected for Gastronomy.

The Mexican Baseball Fiesta and Visit Tucson announced the sixth annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta presented by Cox and Vantage West will be played on September 29 – October 2, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. The Mexican Baseball Fiesta returns to Kino Stadium after a one-year hiatus to Hi Corbett Field.

Arizona to Host 2016 PAC Rugby Sevens Championship

July 22, 2016 -- The PAC Conference has formally awarded the University of Arizona the 2016 PAC Rugby Sevens Championship at the Pima County Kino Sports Complex on November 12-13, 2016. Arizona’s selection marks the first PAC Rugby Sevens Championship to be held in Tucson.

Reaching new heights: AC Hotel tops out in downtown Tucson

July 25, 2016 (TUCSON, AZ)— Developers behind the the AC Hotel Tucson by Marriott—the next landmark to join the expanding downtown community—announces plans to celebrate the completion of vertical construction with a ‘topping-out’ on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016. The ceremony will include City and County officials, planners, developers, and the general public in a collective celebration downtown.

2nd Saturdays - Hot Time In The City on July 9

On July 9th at 2nd Saturdays starts at 5pm and last until approximately 10:30 pm. There are activities and street performers to entertain you from Toole Avenue to Church Avenue. Get on board and join the fun. The music by live, local bands ramps up at 6pm on the the live 94.9 MIX-FM Stage at Scott and Congress.

August 13 at  2nd Saturdays starts at 5 p.m. and last until approximately 10:30 p.m. There are activities and street performers to entertain you, from Toole Ave. to Church Ave.
