An Event for All Seasons

Here's to four seasons of fun in Tucson. Check out these hallmark happenings or search our calendar of events for inspiration.

Our scenic Boston-qualifier, the Tucson Marathon, is a best-kept-secret among runners in December. The Tucson Jazz Festival and Tucson Desert Song Festival ring in musical diversity in January. February is packed with pro soccer excitement during MLS Preseason in Tucson; La Fiesta de los Vaqueros-Tucson Rodeo & Parade, with real cowboys and cowgirls showing Old West ways; Cologuard Classic-PGA TOUR Champions Event, where pro golf legends mingle with fans; 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo zany mountain bike endurance race; and Tucson Gem, Mineral and Fossil Showcase, our iconic marketplace of nature's treasures.

Along with desert wildflower blooms, spring brings the USA's longest-running festival of Spanish-language films, Tucson Cine Mexico, as well as one of the best literacy festivals in the Southwest, the Tucson Festival of Books, both in March. April ushers in Agave Heritage Festival, Tucson International Mariachi Conference, and Tucson Folk Festival for a cornucopia of local culture, heritage, food, and music.

In June, events such as Ha:san Bak Saguaro Festival demonstrate the ancient Tohono O'odham tradition of harvesting saguaro cactus fruit. On Father's Day weekend, taste some of the best Mexican food available on this side of the border at The Tucson 23: Mexican Food Festival. In July, Tucson's top resort hotels host Independence Day fun with poolside entertainment and fireworks displays. And August's two Summer Birding Festivals are perfect for family adventures in our great outdoors.

There's always a party in the stands at our bilingual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta, while everyone is glued to their seats during screenings at Film Fest Tucson, both in October. In November, we take to the streets, on two feet for All Souls Procession, our unique salute to All Souls Day and Dia de los Muertos, and on two wheels for El Tour de Tucson, a perimeter ride favored by both amateur and pro cyclists. All year round, we cheer our hometown Wildcats at University of Arizona sporting events. Join us any time!
