Tucson Rodeo & Parade

La Fiesta de los Vaqueros® - a tip of the Stetson to cowboys and cowgirls wrangling at this event since 1925.

93rd Annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros -Tucson Rodeo & Parade

February 17-25, 2018

Tucson Rodeo Grounds

It's rodeo time in Tucson! Our celebration of the cowboys - La Fiesta de los Vaqueros - is heralded as Southern Arizona’s most beloved heritage event. Since its inception in 1925, the show has revolved around the Tucson Rodeo, one of the top 25 rodeos on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association calendar. The sports’ best cowboys and cowgirls compete in six rodeo performances on February 17-18 and February 22-25. The next generation of rodeo champions takes centerstage each day in events like RAM Mutton Bustin’ and Justin Junior Rodeo Exhibition. Rodeo tickets are available on TucsonRodeo.com or by calling (800) 964-5662.

Fans will start lining the streets at dawn to catch the Tucson Rodeo Parade on February 22. Follow the hundreds of horses and over 150 western-theme floats and buggies and marching musical groups with the free Tucson Rodeo Parade app, available from both Google Play and the App Store. Information on grandstand seating for the parade (the best seat in the house) and more are on TucsonRodeoParade.com. For an up-close look at many of the parade's vintage wagons, buggies, carriages, and flatbed wagons, stop by the Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum.

For many, there’s no better way to experience the rodeo than through the eyes of Louise Serpa (1925-2012). The Cowboy Hall-of-Fame photographer and Tucson resident was the first woman to enter the rodeo arena to photograph action shots on film. She captured over a half century of rodeo history with images that exude the sport's energy, excitement, and emotion. View a video tribute to Louise Serpa
