The world's largest gem-and-mineral event of its kind brings exhibits and retailers to Tucson every winter.
Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase
February 2-17, 2019
Tucson becomes a playground for the world of international gem and mineral trading, collecting, and treasure hunting when the Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase arrives every January-February every year.
The showcase is more than just one show. It takes place at multiple locations focused mainly in downtown-midtown Tucson. Shoppers from near and far come to hunt for jewelry, track down jewelry-making supplies, and browse collectibles and treasures, both rare and bargain priced. You can navigate Tucson's largest public event with the following information for visitors, retail dealers, and show owners.
Here's What You Need to Know About Tucson's Gem Shows
It's More Than One Show
Tucson's gem show actually includes more than 40 different shows at dozens of locations around town, from exhibit halls to hotels and sprawling camps of roadside exhibit tents. The mix is slightly different every year, and most shows are open to the public with free admission.
The Tucson Gem & Mineral Show® packs the downtown Tucson Convention Center over the final weekend of mineral madness, pulling in thousands of treasure-hunters from around the globe. Free seminars and a Junior Education Area with hands-on activities make this show a big draw for families! Not Just For Pros
While this event brings serious collectors from around the world, it's the "cool" factor that makes it one of the biggest and best events of its kind. Thousands of people from all walks of life come to gawk at gold, oooh over opals, and dig dinosaur fossils. Find answers to frequently asked questions here.
