After a sold-out performance last year, Nia Elise returns with another live tribute celebrating the timeless music of R&B/soul legend Anita Baker. An eight-time Grammy winner and one of the defining voices of the quiet storm era, Baker rose to fame in the 1980s with her rich contralto and jazz-inflected phrasing on classics like “Sweet Love,” “Giving You the Best That I Got,” and “Caught Up in the Rapture.” Her lush, sophisticated sound helped shape a generation of R&B and continues to influence soul singers today.

A Borderlands Jazz Club & Mezcal Lounge

Since opening its doors in 2022, the Century Room has quickly become one of the premier jazz clubs in the country. Located on the campus of the historic Hotel Congress in downtown Tucson, the Century Room features a beautiful and acoustically engineered stage, elegant ambience and décor, delicious food, and a robust craft cocktail program. It is truly an escape into another time and place, somewhere between New York, New Orleans, and the Old West. World class music graces the stage nightly, with musicians traveling regularly from New York City, Los Angeles and New Orleans to perform.
