Tucson, Ariz. (March 14, 2026) – World Golf Hall of Fame members Fred Couples and Ernie Els, along with fan favorite John Daly, are among the final commitments to play in the 2026 Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, set to be played March 20 - 22 at La Paloma Country Club. In addition, title and presenting sponsor Exact Sciences and the Tucson Conquistadores awarded sponsor exemptions to Mario Tiziani, Brandt Jobe, Billy Andrade, Ted Purdy and Rob Labritz. The final three playing spots in the 2026 field will be determined on Monday, March 16 at the Cologuard Classic Qualifier at Oro Valley Country Club.
With the addition of Couples, Els, Daly and the five exemptions, a strong field of competitors are set to tee it up at La Paloma Country Club. Defending tournament champion Steven Alker, Cologuard ambassador Jerry Kelly and past champions Joe Durant (2024), David Toms (2023), Miguel Angel Jimenez (2022), Kevin Sutherland (2021), Bernhard Langer (2020), Tom Lehman (2017) and Woody Austin (2016) are all in the field. Defending Charles Schwab Cup winner Stewart Cink, World Golf Hall of Fame members Retief Goosen and Padraig Harrington have also committed to the tournament. Other notables committed to play in next week’s event include Stephen Ames, Darren Clarke, Ben Crane, David Duval, José María Olazábal, and Mike Weir. PGA TOUR Champions rookie Zach Johnson, who won last week in his PGA TOUR Champions debut at the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, is also in the field.
Tiziani last played in the Cologuard Classic in 2024, finishing T61. He received sponsor exemptions to play in the 2023 and 2022 Cologuard Classic tournaments, finishing T61 and T54 respectively. Jobe finished T70 at last year’s Cologuard Classic and has competed in the event nine times. His best Cologuard Classic finish was in 2022 when he finished T9. Andrade will be playing in the event for the 11th time, last playing in 2024 when he finished T14. He received a sponsor exemption in 2022. Purdy, a University of Arizona alum, will be playing in his third consecutive Cologuard Classic on a sponsor exemption after finishing T38 at the 2025 tournament and 75th in 2024. Labritz will be playing in his third Cologuard Classic and first on a sponsor exemption. He finished T46 at the 2023 Cologuard Classic and T33 at the 2022 event.

Golf fans making a minimum $5 online donation to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona between now and March 20, 2026, will receive a complimentary general admission ticket to Saturday, March 21 of the 2026 Cologuard Classic, compliments of presenting sponsor Exact Sciences. Donations can be made online at www.cologuardclassic.com. In addition, on Saturday, March 21, non-perishable food items and monetary donations can be made at the PGA TOUR Champions tournament’s main entrance in exchange for a complimentary general admission ticket. Exact Sciences will match the funds donated by fans, up to $10,000, with all proceeds collected going to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. In tandem with this program, Friday, March 20 is Folds of Honor Friday AND Dress in Blue Day at the Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, honoring the brave men and women who serve our nation as well as commemorating National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Fans, players, caddies and announcers are encouraged to wear blue to help raise awareness of colon cancer.
The 2026 Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences golf tournament is set to be played March 20 – 22 at La Paloma Country Club and will feature a 78-player field competing for a $2.2 million purse, with $330,000 to the winner.
