TUCSON, AZ — Patronato San Xavier is calling on photographers of all skill levels to submit their most inspiring images of Mission San Xavier del Bac for a 2027 calendar. The contest launches December 2025 and will run through July 15, 2026, offering the community nearly a year to capture the Mission across all seasons.
Winning photographs will be featured in the official 2027 Patronato San Xavier Calendar, with proceeds benefiting the preservation of San Xavier Mission. Twelve images will be selected to represent each month, along with a cover image. Each winning photographer will receive a complimentary calendar, recognition in the publication and on Patronato’s newsletter and social media channels, and material prizes which may include cash prizes, gift cards, camera gear and other items.
“This contest is a wonderful opportunity for the community to celebrate the beauty and history of San Xavier through photography while also directly supporting its preservation,” said Miles Green, Executive Director of Patronato San Xavier, “We can’t wait to see the Mission through the eyes of our community.”
An active preservation project is in progress at Mission San Xavier del Bac, with scaffolding in place into spring 2026. Photographers are encouraged to embrace this moment in the Mission’s story by highlighting the conservation work or visit later in the season for unobstructed views before entries close in mid-July.

Sponsorship Opportunities for Local Businesses
Patronato is also inviting local businesses and community partners to support the calendar through sponsorships. Sponsors will receive recognition in the calendar itself, with opportunities ranging from a signature placement on the front cover, logos on the back cover, individual monthly pages, or recognition on a community supporters page.
“By sponsoring the calendar, businesses help showcase top-tier photography and artistry while supporting the preservation of one of the Southwest’s most photographed landmarks,” added Green.
