TUCSON, AZ — December 2025 — Prep & Pastry announced today that the company will donate 100% of proceeds from its sales at the 2025 Winterhaven Festival of Lights directly to support the event, following news of this year’s significant funding loss. As one of Tucson’s most cherished holiday traditions, Winterhaven draws more than 200,000 visitors annually and has been a community cornerstone for over 75 years.

Located in the festival’s Center Island food vendor zone, Prep & Pastry will offer a selection of fresh pastries—including specialty items created exclusively for Winterhaven—as well as seasonal beverages. All revenue generated during the festival’s run, December 13–27, will go entirely toward supporting Winterhaven’s ongoing operations and its mission to bring joy, connection, and holiday magic to the Tucson community.

“Winterhaven is a tradition every Tucson family knows and loves,” said Nathan Ares, Owner of Prep & Pastry and Ares Collective. “When we learned about the festival’s funding challenges, we knew we wanted to step up. Tucson has supported us for over a decade, and this is our way of giving back during a season built on generosity, gratitude, and community. If our participation can help keep this tradition thriving for future generations, we’re honored to play a part.”

The Winterhaven Festival of Lights is entirely volunteer-run and remains the largest free holiday light festival in the Southwest. Each year, it raises critical food and financial support for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, generating tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of pounds of donated food.

Prep & Pastry encourages Tucson locals and visitors to attend, enjoy the lights, and support the festival during an especially critical year.
