Calling all kids (and their families): LOFT KIDS FEST is back! A Tucson summer tradition continues when the 20th annual LOFT KIDS FEST lights up The Loft Cinema for 11 days of free entertainment and excitement, every Saturday and Sunday morning, Saturday, May 30 – Sunday, June 28! The fun begins with an outdoor screening of Zootopia 2 at Himmel Park on Friday, May 29 at 7:00pm, and continues on Saturday, May 30 at The Loft Cinema.
Each day of the Fest, audiences will experience big screen presentations of some of the best family-friendly movies of all-time, along with fun games, interactive activities, great giveaways, tons-o-free-popcorn, free prize raffles and more! Each screening will also include a new animated short film from around the world! Daily pre-show activities will be hosted by the staff of Mildred & Dildred Toy Store, and best of all, everything is FREE! Doors open and activities begin each day at The Loft Cinema at 9:15am, and movies begin at 10:00am. Mark your calendar and don’t miss all the movies, magic and fun of LOFT KIDS FEST 2026!
Friday, May 29: ZOOTOPIA 2 AT HIMMEL PARK
To celebrate the kick-off of Loft Kids Fest 2026, we’re taking over Himmel Park with a free outdoor screening of the hilarious animated hit Zootopia 2, along with music, fun and food trucks! Festivities begin at 7:00pm, and the movie starts at approximately 7:45pm (sundown). But that’s not all, because the fun continues at The Loft Cinema the very next morning! This event will be held on the North side of Himmel Park, in the “grass amphitheater,” 1000 N. Tucson Boulevard.
Saturday, May 30: LILO & STITCH (2002)
Lilo is a lonely little girl, and Stitch is a mischievous little creature from outer space. When Stitch crash-lands in Hawaii, Lilo adopts him as her pet, but he soon turns her world upside down. An animated comedy classic from Walt Disney Studios! Sunday, May 31: A MINECRAFT MOVIE
