Cologuard Classic - PGA TOUR Champions Event
Coming again in February, 2020
Congratulations to Mark O’Meara, the 2019 Cologuard Classic Champion. An incredible 3-day performance!
A Tucson tradition of excellence surrounds the Cologuard Classic, PGA TOUR Champions Tour event. In 2019, 78 stars of men's pro golf are competing for a $1.7 million purse, with $255,000 and 255 Charles Schwab Cup points for the winner, on the legendary Catalina Course at Omni Tucson National Resort. The tournament features a no-cut format and three days of stroke play competition (Friday-Sunday) with players participating in the Jose Cuervo Pro-Am on Wednesday-Thursday.
The 2019 Cologuard Classic may have the most star-studded field ever! A few of the players who've committed: John Daly, a five-time winner on the PGA TOUR and a two-time major winner; Bernhard Langer, 39-time Champions Tour winner; Steve Stricker, last year's Cologuard Classic champion; Tom Lehman, 2017 Cologuard Classic champion; Miguel Angel Jimenez, a Spanish pro golfer and 21-time winner on the European Tour; John Smoltz, Major League Baseball Hall-of-Fame pitcher; Oscar De La Hoya, former world champion boxer; Alfonso Ribeiro, actor and comedian; and many more.
The Tucson Conquistadores invite you to come out and see the pros in person or watch the live televised coverage on the Golf Channel. Longtime tournament host Omni Tucson National Resort, in Oro Valley, is one of more than 40 courses in the Tucson region. Plan your Tucson Cologuard Classic golf getaway today with these accommodations, restaurants, and attractions options.
What a day, what a round, what a tournament for 2019 champion Mark O’Meara.
This year’s 78-man field is easily the most name-dropping group since the Conquistadores began operating the PGA Tour Champions event in 2015.
