Nightlife
Tucson's variety of great nightspots ranges from quiet wine bars to college hangouts and high-energy dance clubs, with lots in between. You'll find breweries, sports bars, country/western saloons, LGBTQ bars and clubs, comedy shows, concert venues, theatres, and even casinos. Most bars and clubs are open until 2 a.m. so you can keep the party going long after the sun goes down.
While you can find great evening entertainment all over town, Tucson's nightlife scene starts near the University of Arizona with Main Gate Square and follows the Sunlink Streetcar line to Fourth Avenue, into Downtown, and on to the Mercado District. Keep it chill with some craft beer or cocktails, hit one of Tucson's classic dive bars, or crank it up with some live music. And for the foodies visiting Tucson, these areas house some of the best restaurants in town, whether you're looking for high-end fusion, a solid slice of pizza, or one of Tucson's legendary Sonoran hot dogs, you'll find what you need to keep the night going.
Head north to the Catalina Foothills area for upscale patio dining, local music in lush courtyards, with restaurants and bars catering to the clientele with refined palates. The numerous area hotels and resorts also frequently offer music and entertainment on-site, and the resort bars and restaurants are popular with both locals and visitors for their delicious pairings and laid-back luxury.
For Latin-influenced entertainment, several Midtown-area restaurants feature mariachi bands, salsa dancing, and flamenco performances. Or throw on your boots and honky-tonk the night away with your friends, get in on some line dancing or show off your country swing in some of the southwest's most authentic spots.
