(Tucson, Ariz., Aug. 8, 2023) - Arizona Science Center is partnering with Children’s Museum Tucson to bring a 1,000-square-foot version of The Science of Guinness World Records to CMT from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1, with a Grand Opening planned for Saturday, Sept. 2.

“We are thrilled to partner with Children's Museum Tucson to be able to expand our reach to more children and families,” said Guy Labine, The Hazel A. Hare President & CEO, Arizona Science Center. “Understanding what it takes to break records through the lens of science will be inspiring for scientists and enthusiasts alike.”

The Science of Guinness World Records’ interactive exhibition will leave guests astonished as they discover exactly what goes into accomplishing the seemingly impossible. Guests will learn about amazing recordbreakers, and learn more about how bodies react, focus, and endure. Guests will use the science behind their skills to help them become better record-breakers and will have the ability to challenge themselves and others to officially break a world record.

“Tucson welcomes the opportunity to bring a portion of this engaging exhibition to our community,” said CMT Executive Director Hilary Van Alsburg. “We love finding ways to make learning fun and engaging and this exhibition is a perfect opportunity to do just that.”

Beyond the challenges, guests will be drawn in by inspirational stories, as well as intriguing artifacts that will be showcased throughout the exhibition. Engaging and interactive record attempts inspire guests and ignite their desire to set their own records.

“Thank you to the Tucson community for welcoming the Science Center to your community,” said Anita Theisen, Arizona Science Center Board of Trustees, Chair. “We know how important these types of opportunities are to advance STEM learning and engagement to allow learners of all ages to bring science to life.”

The Science of Guinness World Records is co-produced by Science North, one of Canada’s largest and most respected science centers, and Ripley’s Entertainment, the entertainment and edutainment company founded by the great Robert Ripley.

About Guinness World Records
What’s the fastest game bird in Europe? This was the question that inspired the founding of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS back in 1955. Starting with a single book published from a room above a gym, GWR has grown to become a global multi-media brand, with offices in London, New York, Miami, Beijing, Tokyo and Dubai. Today, we deliver world-class content, not just through books, but via TV shows, social media and live events. Our in-house consultancy works closely with brands and businesses around the world to harness the power of record-breaking and deliver award-winning campaigns and business solutions. Our ultimate purpose is to inspire people — individuals, families, schools, groups, companies, communities and even entire countries — to read about, watch, listen to and participate in record-breaking.
