Convention Center District

Downtown's convention center is a hub of activity for residents and visitors alike.

Tucson Convention Center Complex

It's a new dawn for downtown Tucson. A renaissance spurred by new commerce, creative development and expanded public transportation is drawing attention to the Tucson Convention Center (TCC).

With its newly upgraded Arena, the TCC offers more than 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space as well as improved event and exhibit areas that complement plentiful on-site parking and artfully landscaped grounds. On 27 acres, the TCC complex is surrounded by a nationally significant Eckbo-designed Modernist landscape featuring a fountain, public art and seating areas and three on-site cultural venues: the Arena, Tucson Music Hall and Leo Rich Theater. Nearby are three historic theaters, Rialto Theatre, Temple of Music and Art, and Fox Theatre. This "people place" is connected to El Presidio Park and Jácome Plaza, large open spaces made for festivals and events.

The TCC Arena is also home to the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners ice hockey team, the Tucson Sugar Skulls indoor football team, and the Arizona Wildcats ice hockey team (Icecats).

From the TCC's central downtown location, vendors and attendees can walk to nearby shops, restaurants, museums and lodging just a few blocks away. Hotel development that started taking off with the 2017 opening of the 136-room AC Hotel Tucson Downtown has not let up. A DoubleTree by Hilton convention center hotel is leading a wave of hotel development and expansion in the downtown Tucson-University of Arizona area.

The TCC continues to provide outstanding variety and value, especially for large-scale group events like sports competitions, conferences and conventions and special events. Plus, with on-site parking, nearby garage parking and public transportation via the Sun Link Streetcar line just steps away, Tucson's dining-and-entertainment districts downtown are all conveniently accessible. From here, it's easy to experience some of the best that Tucson has to offer.
